FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What are the Benefits of Massage Therapy?
Massage relieves stress, aids in relaxation, relieves muscle tension and stiffness, provides greater flexibility and range of motion, reduces blood pressure, relieves tension headaches including migraines, improves posture, and helps to strengthen the immune system.
What Should I Wear?
There is no specific attire required during a massage, wear whatever you're comfortable in. Some of our clients come straight from work, some wear workout clothes, others wear everyday clothes.
Do I have to Undress Completely?
No. We always tell our clients to undress to their level of comfortability. Most clients leave their underwear/panties on and the ladies usually take their bras off for a better back massage. If you don't want to remove any clothing, that is perfectly acceptable. Our goal is to make you are as comfortable as possible. We respect you and your boundaries.
Do you Work on the Chest or Buttocks?
When we work on the pectoralis muscles (chest muscles), we only work a palm width below the clavicle (collar bone). We do not give breast massage, nor will they ever be exposed. As for the buttocks...most people are surprised at how much low back pain is relieved after having their gluteus muscles (buttocks muscles) worked on. While we are trained to work on the bare gluteus muscles, most clients and most massage therapists prefer to work on them through the sheet.
Do you Accept Insurance?
No. Some of our clients have been reimbursed from their insurance companies, but they filed the paperwork on their own.
We accept Cash & Checks only.
How Often Should I Get a Massage?
As often as you like. We believe you know your body best. We don't usually recommend a set number of massages in a certain amount of time. Some clients come in once a month while others come in once a week. Some clients only come in when they're in pain and are looking for immediate relief. Then there are the clients who have discovered massage is a preventative healthcare and know that receiving regular massages prevents all sorts of aches, pains, and injuries. For these clients, recurring appointments are available. Simply let your massage therapist know how often you want to come in and he/she will be happy to reserve that specific day and time especially for you.
